Airports Authority of India was established on 1st April 1995 by changing the International Airports Authority of India and the National Airports Authority. AAI has entered into a Joint Venture at Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Nagpur Airports to improve these Airports and to compete in the world standards. AAI has also planned to offered Ground Based Augmentation System (GBAS) at Delhi and Mumbai Airports. AAI also offers Air Traffic Management Services (ATMS) over entire Indian Air Space and adjoining oceanic areas with earth installations at all Airports and 25 other locations to assure safety of Aircraft operations.
