The Bharathiar University was founded at Coimbatore by the Government of Tamilnadu in 1982. Mission of Bharathiar University is to give alter possibility to women students and train them to be partners in assembling the scientific and technological needs of the nation. It is the aim of the University to enter in the work of inculcating necessary Knowledge, Skills and Creative Attitudes and values among the youth of the country to contribute more effectively towards establishing an equitable social and economic and secular ideal of our nation.
