Union Public Service Commission will Cause to remain in a certain state, position, or activity a Written Examination for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Police Forces (CPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema BAL (SSB). Central Police Forces 2011 Examination Eligibility
The candidate should have passed in graduation and an equivalent qualification. Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice. Provided that nothing contained in these rules shall debar the appointment, enrolment or employment of a subject of Nepal or Bhutan under these rules.

Selection will be based on the basis of a written examination to be conducted by the UPSC followed by Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test
