Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) was based by the authorities of India in 1960 and was re-coordinated into an independent society under Ministry of Power in 1978 to serve the nation as a interior Level research lab for employed research in the field of power technology and also to occasion as an autonomous authority for testing, rating and documentation of electric instrumentality and constituents.
