CSIO was founded in 1959, contracted to stimulate the growth of indigenous instrument industry in the country by improvement of modern technologies and other scientific & technological activity. Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIO) is a prime national laboratory devoted to research, plan and growth of scientific and industrial devices. It is one of the essential laboratories of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) India.
