Directorate of Technical Education Gujarat
The Directorate of Employment & Training, DET is working under the Department of Labor and Employment, Government of Gujarat. It was established in Gujarat State in 1971. In the starting, Industrial Training Institutes were working under direct control and management of the Director General of Employment & Training (DGE&T), New Delhi, Ministry of Labor, Government of India. Two statutes have been enacted by the Govt. of India to help in reaching the goals of higher employment in formed sector by training.
