The Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University offers Family Medicine Course and Refresher Course In Diabetology through Distance Education.

Distance Education Programmes

Family Medicine Course -

Eligibility Criteria-
MBBS Degree

Schedule of classes :

1st Friday of every month – 12 contact classes per year.
Fore Noon Session - Clinical Class - 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon – In any of the city Medical Colleges at Chennai.
Afternoon Session - Theory Class = 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. - at the University Premises.
Examination - End of the Second Year (Theory/Clinical).

Refresher Course In Diabetology – Through Distance Education Mode

Duration – 6 Months Course

Two batches per year – January and July session

No. of. Seats – 40 per session

Admission – Application available at www.tnmgrmu.ac.in,

Period – November and May month

6 Contact Classes - 4th Friday of every month

Clinical Class - 9.00 am to 12.00 noon – City Government Medical Colleges.

Theory Class – 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm – University Premises.

Examination – Assessment Test - End of the 6 class
