Faculty of Engineering, Dayalbagh Educational Institute was founded by His Holiness Param Guru Huzur Mehtaji Maharaj in 1950 as Dayalbagh Engineering College in response to India’s needs for trained technical manpower.

The Faculty has two departments Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering that offer a number of programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.

Undergraduate Programmes

B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering
The U.G. Programme in Electrical Engineering is broad based; however apart from offering broad based degree in Electrical Engineering the department also offers following specialization (optional):

B. Tech. in Electrical with specialization in Electronics & Communication
B. Tech. in Electrical with specialization in Computer Science
The objective is to encourage students who wish to specialize in an area.

B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
The U.G. Programme in Mechanical Engineering is broad based; however apart from offering broad based degree in Mechanical Engineering the department also offers following specialization (optional):

B. Tech. in Mechanical with specialization in Industrial Engineering
B. Tech. in Mechanical with specialization in Computer Science
B. Tech. in Civil Engineering

The U.G. Programme in Civil Engineering is broad based.

Postgraduate Programme
M. Tech. in Engineering Systems

Doctoral Programme
Two full-time doctoral-level programmes, one in Electrical Engineering and another in Mechanical Engineering are available.
