Eligibility The student should be domiciled in the State of West Bengal and should submit a photocopy of the domicile certificate Only those students whose total annual family income from all sources is less than Rs.2.50 lakhs will be considered under the WBJEE 2015 Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme Submission of a photocopy of the income certificate is a mandatory requirement Benefit: The waiver is limited to the Tuition Fee only for all the Institutions concerned. All other fees except tuition fee will have to be paid by the beneficiary. Selection for Scholarship: The selection of candidates for the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme shall be decided on the basis of merit and preference of eligible students in the State Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). In the event of non-availability of students in this category or in case of any vacancy created due to non-reporting of any candidate, already selected under this scheme, the seats shall not be allotted to any other category of applicants Procedure for Submission of the Income Certificate: Students should submit the income certificate as per the specified Blank proforma. The ‘Blank Proforma’ is downloadable in duplicate. Candidates should generate a printout of the same on A4 size paper. The certificate should be filled in systematically and should be duly authenticated by a Competent Authority, as per the list given below: An officer of the State Government in the rank of Block Development Officer/ Sub-Divisional Officer/District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate / Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer of State or Central Government of a similar rank or above in the rural region; or An Executive Officer of Municipality / Assistant Commissioner or above in Municipal Commissionerate / Group “A” Gazetted Officer of State or Central Government of a similar rank or above in the urban region. Municipal Commissioners, MLA,MP or other such elected representatives are not entitled to issue the income certificate. |
