Indian Administrative Service is one of the toughest and prestigious examinations in country. Candidates must prepare well to score good marks in the exam.

There would be two compulsory papers in the preliminary examination namely the General Ability test (GAT) and the Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT) to test the analytical skills of the candidates.

The total marks for both the papers are 400 marks.
