Indian Institute of Management IIM Ranchi invites applications from candidates with exceptional academic background for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the following areas:

Accounting & Finance
Economics
General Management
Marketing Management
Human Resource Management
Strategic Management

The candidates should have strong academic background and understanding of current developments in their field of expertise.

Eligibility

Ph.D. or equivalent degree in appropriate area with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree, with excellent academic record throughout

Professor:

Minimum 10 years teaching / research / industrial experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IITs, IIMs, NITIE, IISc Bangalore, NITIE Mumbai and IISERs or at an equivalent level in other Indian or foreign institution / institutions of comparable standards.

Associate Professor:

Minimum 6 years teaching / research / industrial experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.

Assistant Professor:

Minimum 3 years of teaching / research / industrial experience (exclusive period of doing Ph.D.)
A fresh Ph.D. may be considered for the position of ‘Assistant Professor on Contract’.

Compensation

The details of pay and the total minimum emoluments admissible at the time of joining are as follows:

Post Pay Band (Rs.) Academic Grade Pay
Professor PB-4 (37400-67000) Rs.10500
Associate Professor PB-4 (37400-67000) Rs.9500
Assistant Professor PB-3 (15600-39100) Rs.8000

Candidates called for interview to fill a vacancy may be considered for lower post if they are otherwise found suitable.

For regular appointments, there would be a probation period of two years.
