As you want to apply for admission in PHD program and looking for Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Pre PHD entrance exam here I will get details for you.

Eligibility
Candidates who have done Master’s Degree from the universities/institutions recognized by UGC/AICTE/NCTE with obtaining minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories of Rajasthan) in the concerned subjects are eligible to apply.

Examination Pattern
The entrance test will comprise of objective type question (MCQs) of 100 marks and interview of 20 marks i.e. Total 120 marks (40+60 Written Exam + 20 Marks Interview). Each question will carry 1 mark.

There will be no negative marking. The duration of entrance test will be 2 hours. The exam will conduct in both Hindi and English language.

The paper consist of two parts i.e. part 1 of 40 marks & Part 2 of 60 marks as mentioned below

Part 1:
Subject Questions
Language Comprehension and vocabulary. (Hindi/English) 10
Information and Communication Technology Awareness 10
General Knowledge of Indian Higher Education System 10
General Research Aptitude 10

Part 2:
It will be subject specific, which means to check the subject knowledge and subject specific research aptitude of forthcoming researchers. Syllabus of Ph.D. pre Entrance Test will be according to UGC NET / CSIR / SLET / ICAR.

Application Fee
The candidates will have to pay an amount of Rs. 2000/- as applicable Pre-Ph.D Entrance test Exam Application fee.

The payment of application fee/exam fee can be made online mode through (Debit Card/ Internet Mobile Payment Service/ Net Banking/ E-Mitra.) Application fee will be non- refundable and non-transferable at any stages.
