Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation Limited (TAHDCO) was incorporated in 1974 under the Companies Act, 1956. The Government of Tamil Nadu and the Government of India contribute to the Share Capital of the Corporation.

At present the Authorized Share Capital of the Corporation is Rs. 150.00 Cr and paid up share capital is Rs.128.27 Cr. The State Govt. and the Central Govt. contribute the share capital in the ratio of 51:49.
