The Department of History at GNDU was built up in 1971. It offers M.A., M.Phil. furthermore, Ph.D. courses. The fundamental goal and the program of the division is to high light the territorial history with regards to national history.Main Thrust of the scholastic projects of the office has been on social, monetary and social history. The admissions to M.A/M.Phil courses are made on the premise of legitimacy in the Entrance Test. Courses Offered/Distribution of Seats Course Length System Total Seats M.A. 2 Years Semester 30 M.Phil. 1 Year Semester 14 Qualification M.A: B.A. (Hons), Bachelor in Social Sciences (Hons School) under (10+2+3) framework or Bachelor Degree in any staff under (10+2+3) framework with no less than half checks or some other examination proportional thereto or if nothing else 45% stamps in the subject of History or Sociology or Public Administration in B.A. under 10+2+3 framework. M.Phil. : M.A. in History with no less than 55% imprints. Admission to both the courses is made solely on the premise of the legitimacy in the Entrance Test.
