The Bangalore University has facilities for the promotion of sports among students. The University has been located at two different Centers, one at Jnana Bharathi Campus and another at Central College.

The Jnanabharathi has campus facilities for athletics, swimming, hockey, football, volleyball, cricket etc., apart from indoor stadium which caters to the needs of students in table tennis, badminton, fitness center/yoga

In the Central College there are facilities for Tennis, Basket Ball, volleyball, with a unique century old cricket pavilion. Apart from these facilities, the University encourages the students through cash awards and gold medals.
