I would like to tell you that Post Graduate Entrance Test does not conucted by NBE for West Bengal region, the exam was organized by West Bengal University of Technology and here I will get details of exam. Eligibility The applicants should have qualified their Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/ Architecture from a well recognized institute. The final year students will also be eligible provided that they graduate by August 2017. The applicants who are associate members of a Professional of Engineers recognized by the Govt. Of India as equivalent courses are also eligible to apply for admission. For admissions through WBUT PGET 2017, those applicants who have done M.Sc or are completing M. Sc in the appropriate branches are also eligible. Distance education degrees are not eligible. Exam pattern The Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) will consist of a single paper in the opted stream. It will be of 2 Hrs duration. Each paper will have a total of 100 marks with 100 MCQs of 1 mark each. Each paper will have a General component of 40 marks of English, Aptitude in Logical/Reasoning power and Mathematics. The remaining 60 marks will be on the topic chosen, of which 10 marks will be on Engineering Sciences, Computational skills and 50 marks relevant to the PG course. All candidates must appear in the entrance test. The proportional representation of marks for preparation of merit list will be as follows: GATE score (40) PGET score (40) and Academic results (20). Out of 40, the marks will be awarded in proportion to the GATE score. About counselling Shortlisted candidates who have been invited for counseling will have to pay Rs 500/as WBUT PGET 2017 Counselling fee. Candidates should attend the counseling in person and bring their original documents/certificates for verification. They should also pay seat Allotment Fee of Rs. 5000/ in addition to the counselling fee. The fees can be paid by separate Demand draft each drawn in favor of ‘MAKAUTWB-PGET’ from any nationalized bank payable at Kolkata All counseling fees are non-refundable, but the allotment fee of Rs. 5,000/- to be paid during counseling will be adjusted on taking admission |
