The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are a gathering of 20 open, self-ruling establishments of administration training and research in India. They basically offer postgraduate, doctoral and official instruction programs. The foundation of IIMs was started by Jawaharlal Nehru, the principal Prime Minister of India, in view of the suggestion of the Planning Commission IIMs are enrolled as social orders under the Indian Societies Registration Act. The union bureau, led by Prime Minister, has affirmed the proposition to set up six new Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) the nation over. The new IIMs would come up at Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Bodh Gaya (Bihar), Sirmaur (Himachal Pradesh), Nagpur (Maharashtra), Sambalpur (Odisha) and Amritsar (Punjab). "These new IIMs will start working from doled out impermanent grounds and move to their perpetual destinations after development of their grounds is finished," IT and Communications Minister told the media after the bureau meeting. He said it was planned that these six new administration organizations will begin their first scholastic session from 2015-16. Each establishment will begin with an admission of 140 understudies in the Post Graduate Program (PGP) courses, IT and Communications Minister stated, including that the yearly admission will increment to achieve a level of 560 understudies every year before seven years' over. |
