Can you provide me some tips to prepare for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) of NCHMCT (National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology)?

The JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is conducted by the NCHMCT (National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology) for admission to its course “B.Sc in Hospitality & Hotel Administration” that is offered jointly with IGNOU.

Preparation Tips

Practice is the key to score well in the NCHMCT JEE. Since the NCHMCT JEE consists of numerous sections such as Logical Deduction. Numerical Ability, Aptitude for Service Sector, Current Affairs and English language skills, it is imperative to start practicing early so to cover every topic.

An organized study schedule will allow setting a clear action goal for the exam. Start with understanding the exam structure followed by a self analysis of strengths and weaknesses.

The English Language section is a very scoring one and it absolutely depends upon how well versed already are with the section.

The General Knowledge and Current Affairs section forms a crucial part so, read newspapers daily and catches up with general guidebooks. Subscribe to online alerts and browse through popular websites to keep a grip on knowledge about current affairs.

Practice Maths daily for at least half an hour and ensure to cover all the topics. Don’t just memorize formulas, try to understand the basic theory behind a concept and crack the math section easily.

Brush up language skills, read newspapers on a daily basis giving special attention to sentence formation and usage of new words. Try and increase vocabulary. Increase reading speed since there will be questions on reading comprehension.

Refer to previous years’ question papers. Analyze the trends and the kind of questions.
