The University Of Illinois Urbana Champaign offers M.S. degree in Plant Biotechnology. M.S Plant Biotechnology The M.S. degree in plant biotechnology requires the completion of 42 semester hours as prescribed in the following four curricular components: Science Business Internship Industry Seminar The program is designed to be completed in 16-months of full-time study on the Urbana-Champaign campus. Summer enrollment is required while completing the internship. A thesis is not required. Admission Requirements- Bachelor's degree in the life sciences, broadly including: biology, chemistry or related fields from an accredited US institution or a comparable degree from a recognized institution abroad. Grade point average of 3.0 or higher (4.0 scale) for the last 60 hours of undergraduate work and for any graduate work. Personal Statement Graduate Record Examination (GRE) For applicants whose native language is not English, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores are required. Course structure- Business Curriculum The Illinois PSM business curriculum addresses essential knowledge and skills for managerial and leadership roles. Business courses – combined with the PSM seminar series and the internship – differentiate the Illinois PSM from other research-focused M.S. degree programs. The business curriculum is delivered in partnership with the University of Illinois’ College of Business. Five principal themes define the Illinois PSM business curriculum: business fundamentals – marketing, strategy, and entrepreneurship; financial – accounting and finance; project and process management, workplace dynamics – leadership, teams, and organizational behavior; and law and regulation.
