JNU CEEB is combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University. On behalf of the participating Universities, it will hold Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination (CEEB 2017) on 19th May 2017 for admission to M. Sc Biotechnology Programme being offered by various participating Universities JNU CEEB 2017 Important Dates Date of Notification 21st March 2017 Online Application window opens 21st March 2017 Online Application window closes 05th April 2017 Issue of admit card: 10th May 2017 JNU Entrance Examination: 19th May 2017 (02.00 P.M. to 05.00 PM) Results of Entrance Exam: i. Merit list of candidates to exercise their option for Universities: 02nd/03rd week of June 2017 ii. Final Result of allotted Universities last week of June/01st week of July 2017 Exam Fee i. General Category Candidates including OBC Candidates - Rs.1000/- ii. SC/ST/PWD Category Candidates (PWD includes OH, VH and HH) - Rs.500/- iii. Foreign Nationals US$ 40.00 or Rs.2640/- JNU CEEB 2017 Entrance Exam Pattern The question paper for the Entrance Exam will be of three hours duration and divided into two parts: Part-A will have multiple choice type questions at the level of 10+2 in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The Candidates will be required to attempt 60 questions. Total marks for Part A will be (60 questions x 1 mark each) of 60 marks. There will be negative marking and for each wrong answer, ½ (half) mark will be deducted Part-B will also have multiple-choice questions of Bachelor’s level requiring thinking and analysis. There will be questions from Physics, Mathematics, Biology (e.g., Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics and Molecular Biology) and Chemistry. The candidates will be required to attempt 60 questions Total marks for Part B will be 60 questions x 3 marks each = 180 marks. There will be negative marking and for each wrong answer one mark will be deducted |
