Don’t worry I will provide you2 Year M. Tech. Syllabus for PGET Biotechnology issued by Jaypee Institute of Information Technology of Noida.

Here is the syllabus

BIOCHEMISTRY
Biomolecules (Structure/Function); Stablizing interactions; Principles of biophysical chemistry (pH, buffer, reaction kinetics); Bioenergetics, glycolysis, oxidative phosphorylation, photosynthesis and CO2 fixation; Catalysis, enzymes and enzyme kinetics, isozymes;
Conformation of proteins (Ramachandran plot; domains; motif etc.); Conformation of nucleic acids.

MICROBIOLOGY
Prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell structure; Microbial nutrition, growth and control; Microbial metabolism (aerobic and anaerobic respiration, photosynthesis); Microbial genetics (plasmids, transformation, transduction, conjugation); Microbial diversity and characteristic features; Viruses, Host-pathogen interactions, role of microbes in industry

CELLULAR ORGANIZATION AND DEVELOPMENT
Cell Organelles and Function in plants and animals: Mitosis and meiosis, cell cycle and its regulation; Structure of model membrane, cell communication and signal transduction, cell adhesion and molecules, gap junctions, extracellular matrix, integrins, neurotransmission and its regulation. Development, gametogenesis, cell determination and differentiation: morphogenetic gradients; stem cells; transgenics; establishment of symmetry in plants Photoperiodism; Haematopoiesis and haemostasis. Endocrine glands: Structure and function.

MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND GENETICS
Central dogma, Structure of DNA and RNA, Basic techniques of molecular Biology, DNA
replication, transcription, translation, post-translational modifications, gene structure in
prokaryotes and eukaryotes, gene regulation, mutations and their role in evolution. Gene
interactions, linkage, gene mapping methods, speciation, population genetics, genetic
disorders.


RECOMBINANT DNA TECHNOLOGY
Vectors: plasmid, cosmids, bacteriophage and other viral vectors; Restriction and modification
enzymes; Ti plasmid, yeast artificial chromosome; cDNA and genomic DNA library; Gene
cloning and expression; Transposons and gene targeting; DNA sequencing; Polymerase chain
reactions; DNA fingerprinting; Gene therapy.


BIOINFORMATICS
Biological databases, sequence retrieval and analysis (NCBI & BLAST), Sequence alignment
(Pairwise and Multiple sequence alignment), Construction of phylogenetic trees, Gene
predictions, RNA and protein structure prediction.


IMMUNOLOGY
Types of immunity, T-cells and B-cells, Antigen-antibody reaction, Antibody structure, T-cell
receptors, Complement system, Autoimmunity, Hyper-sensitivity, Hybridoma technology,
Vaccines
Biosstatistics
Measures of central tendency and dispersal; probability distributions; confidence interval;
regression and correlation; t-test; analysis of variance; X2 test;


APPLIED BIOLOGY
Microbial fermentation and production of biomolecules. diagnostics; tissue and cell culture
methods (plants and animals). Transgenics, molecular diagnostics; Genomics and application
in health and agriculture; Bioresource and uses of biodiversity. microscopy; Gel filteration;
Ion-exchange, Affinity, centrifugation; spectroscopy, Electrophoresis & SDS-PAGE;
