The CLAT Seat Allotment is a process involved in counselling for admissions to National Law Universities (NLUs). The admission for undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes is to be held on seat allotment of CLAT 2018 and shall be based on merit-cum-preference of the candidates. The seat allotment process of CLAT 2018 will help candidates in keeping a track of the allotted seats in each of the NLUs for different law programmes during all the counselling rounds. CLAT 2018 seat allotment will be held for three rounds only With each round of CLAT seat allotment 2018, candidates will get updates on the number of seats allocated and those vacant in each of the NLUs. Allotment of seats will be done only if their names are mentioned in the merit list and their NLUs’ preferences. The seat allotment of CLAT is an online process and administered centrally by CNLU Patna and CLAT Committee. According to the admission process of CLAT, those who qualify the cut off of CLAT are to be included in the first indicative merit list and called for first round of CLAT seat allotment. If the candidate has been allotted an NLU, he/ she will require depositing a counselling fee of Rs. 50,000 for locking the allotted seat in the NLU.
