HPVP (Heavy Plates and Vessels Plant) is the 17th manufacturing unit of BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited). Prior to merger it was known as BHPV LTD. (Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels Limited).
BHPV was established in 1966 as a public sector undertaking under the Department of Heavy Industry, Government of India. It has been catering to the specialized equipment & plants required for oil refineries, fertilizer plants, steel plants, defence sector etc.
