At Mumbai University Economic department is offering MA degree. The Department offers a two year M.A. programme in Economics and a Doctoral (Ph.D) programme in Economics. Two M.A. programmes are offered: a choice-based Credit Course (comprising of four semesters across two years) and an annual exam course across two years. Admission to the credit–based programme is through a national entrance test (Dates of the entrance test are announced in national newspapers as well as on the website of the Department). A minimum of 72 credits have to be earned by students across four semesters.
