Can you tell me if Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) accept CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) score for admission in its MBA (Master in Business Administration) Program?

Masters in Management Studies (MMS), which is equivalent to a MBA, is the flagship course of Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), conducted as a university department of University of Mumbai.

It is a two year full time post graduate degree course in management. Started as early as 1965, the institute offers various specializations like Finance, Marketing, Personnel, Operations and Systems in the second year of the course.

It considers only CAT (Common Admission Test) / MH-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) for admission in Masters in Management Studies (MMS) and not CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) score.

Eligibility

Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelor degree awarded by any of the universities recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

OR

One appeared for the final year exam of any Bachelor degree to be awarded by any of the universities recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the Degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra state only).

Course Details

The course content is common for all students in the first year as per the guidelines of Mumbai University.
Specialization is offered in 2nd year when core subjects are taken. The institute also offers electives throughout the course.
One is required to take a practical approach to learning by doing project work, field studies, market research, games applying management concepts and case studies.

Schedule (Tentative)
The course is conducted on a semester basis with 4 semesters spread over 2 academic years. The duration of each semester is around 15 working weeks.
