National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra (NIT Kurukshetra) is a public engineering institute. In 2008, it was accredited with the status of Institute of National Importance (INI). It is one of the 30 National Institutes of Technology established and administered by Government of India. It runs undergraduate and postgraduate in programme Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy programme in Engineering, Sciences and Humanities. Hostel Facility No, as per my knowledge, there is no facility for Gym in the Hostels of National Institute of Technology - [NIT], Kurukshetra. Boys Hostel: There are 5 hostels with a capacity of 250 students per hostel. Hostel accommodations is provided to all the male students i.e. B. Tech. degree course and residence in the hostel is compulsory. In exceptional cases, however, if one wishes to reside with parents or with a local guardian (who must be a close relative), may be permitted to do so with prior permission. Each Hostel is a self-contained unit with its own mess and common room. Girls Hostel: A separate hostel with a limited capacity of 125 is available. Those female students who fail to get accommodation in the hostel shall have to make their own arrangement for boarding and lodging. Each student is expected to respond to the role assigned in the Community life of the hostel. B.E./M. Tech./Research Scholars: A 150 seat Post Graduate hostel has also been constructed. Till this hostel is completed, hostel accommodation will be offered to students of the above courses and research scholars if seats are available after accommodating all under-graduate students. All such students and research scholars residing in the hostels shall abide by the rules and code of conduct for residents. All research scholars residing in the hostel shall pay the hostel dues including the hostel caution money as per rules applicable to the students of M. Tech degree courses. Rules-cum-code of Conduct: Only students on the roll of the college are eligible to reside in the hostels. One residing in the hostels shall abide by the rules and code of conduct which are subject to change without notice. Ignorance of these rules shall not be accepted as a valid reason for any breach of these which will be dealt with strictly. |
