The Undergraduate Programmes offered by School of Health Sciences (SHS) of Meru University of Science and Technology in Kenya are as follows: Bachelor of Science in Public Health Be a holder of K.C.S.E or equivalent exam certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ (plus) and minimum of C+ (plus) in cluster subjects; Biology or Biological Sciences, Chemistry/ Physical Sciences, Mathematics/Physics and English/Kiswahili OR Be a holder of a Diploma in Environmental Health Science and have a mean grade of C (plain) in Biology, Chemistry and Physical Science or Mathematics and English/ Kiswahili OR A – Level candidate with Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) of 2 principals plus subsidiary in sciences combination, one of which must be Biology. Bachelor of Science in Community Health and Development Bachelor of Science in Health Systems Management The common regulations for all BSc. Degrees in the University shall apply. In addition to the above one must either be a holder of KSCE (OR Equivalent Examination) Certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ (plus), a minimum of C (plain) in Biology and chemistry and C (plain) in English/Kiswahili and Mathematics or Physics OR Be a holder of KACE with minimum of 2 principal passes including Biology and a subsidiary pass in Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics OR Be a holder of a Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, Community Health & Development, Human Nutrition, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, Health Records and Information Management or the equivalent of any of these qualifications as approved by Senate. One with a Diploma and/or Higher National Diploma (HND), with a Credit pass may, at the discretion of the MUST Senate, be exempted from one academic year of study. Bachelor of Science in Health Records and Information Systems Be a holder of KCSE Certificate with an aggregate of C+ (plus) and C (plain) in Biology and both Mathematics and English/Kiswahili OR Holder of a Diploma in Health Records and Information Systems from an Institution recognized by MUST Senate OR KACE Certificate with a minimum of two principle passes including Biology and a Subsidiary pass in Chemistry, Mathematics or a pass in Mathematics at KCSE level. Duration: 8 semesters Mode of Study: Full-time Campus: Main Campus (Nchiru) and Meru Town Campus(Hart Towers) Tuition fees per semester: Ksh.45, 000 |
