School of Visual Arts (SVA) is a for-profit art and design college founded in 1947. It is a member of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design, a consortium of 36 leading art schools in the United States.

SVA is one of the first colleges to offer cartooning as a major. It teaches both classical techniques and new digital production. It has 177 students, 26 faculty, and 35 courses.

Standardized Test Scores

Official SAT or ACT test scores should be sent to the School of Visual Arts by the testing agency or high school.

Transfer applicants who have earned more than 24 credits at a regionally accredited college, including coursework in the humanities and sciences, do not need to submit SAT or ACT scores.

International applicants are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores unless they have taken the test.
