About the Course :

This Doctoral Programme is offered primarily by the Department of Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Environmental Engineering (encompasses 3 locations: Aalborg (Sohngardsholmsvej 49-57), campus Esbjerg (Esbjerg Section of Chemical Engineering) and campus Copenhagen (Section of Sustainable Biotechnology))

Course Structure

Biotechnology
Biotechnology focuses on biophysical characterization and molecular aspects of protein folding, stability and functionality, gene function and discovery, systems biology, novel and improved enzymes, fermentation technology, nanobiotechnologies, and mixed microbial communities, all to introduce new industrial products and for application in environmental, industrial and green biotechnology

Chemical Engineering
Chemical Engineering focuses on design of new chemical processes and products within the fields of glass chemistry, applied biotechnology, bioenergy, functional materials and drug delivery.

Biology and Environmental Science comprise the analysis and solution of biological and environmental problems using modern methods and technology in an interdisciplinary environment. Central research topics are the protection of health, resources and environment by combining the knowledge of physical, chemical and biological processes
