Program:
Ph. D in English (Linguistics and Phonetics)

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have completed one of following Degree:

MA or M. Phil in Linguistics/Phonetics/Applied Linguistics
OR
MA or M. Phil in English (with specialization in Linguistics and Phonetics)

Having Master Degree with minimum 45% marks from recognized University.

Candidates must have PGCTE/DTE (with evidence of having adequate background* in Linguistics and Phonetics) with a minimum GPA of 3.00.

Admission Test:
Students must appear in Entrance Exam conducted by University.

Course Duration:
Minimum: 3 Years
Maximum: 5 Years

Adequate background implies having done at least two of the following six courses:
Basic issues in Syntax
Basic issues in Semantics
Second Language Acquisition
Basic issues in Phonology
Introduction to Sociolinguistics
