Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC)
BPSC is conducted by the Bihar state of government to recruit for the civil service posts. BPSC came into existence in 1949.

Eligibility Criteria of BPSC

Nationality
The aspirant must be the citizen of India to apply for the Indian Administrative Service.

Age Limit:
Candidates must not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years.

No. of attempts &Age relaxation according to categories:
1) General Category No Relaxation
2) SC/ST/OBC 5 Years
3) physically Handicapped 5 Years
4) A.P.Govt. Servant According to Govt. rules

Recruitment is made by two methods

Direct Recruitment:-Direct recruitment is made mainly by way of conducting competitive examination in which the selection is done on the basis of either of the following procedures.
a)Main (Written) Examination and Interview of the successful candidates of the Preliminary Test prescribed under rules.

b)Written Examination and Interview.
c)Interview.
Promotion:-Promotion is granted to civil servants through the Departmental Promotion Committee (under the chairmanship of the Commission) constituted for the same and in accordance with the rules framed by the State Government.
