West Bengal Central School Service Commission conducts WBTET in order to shortlist candidates to teach in schools in West Bengal. As per me West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WB TET) application form will be fill up online so you have to apply online for this exam : Candidates need to fill WB TET application form on the official website of the teacher eligibility test. After duly filling the application form WB TET exam, aspirants need to take a print out of their application form. WB TET Syllabus Paper-I Child Development and Pedagogy In this section of the exam, questions will be related to educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to age group of 6-11 years. Questions will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning. Language I This section will test aspirants on their proficiency in the language of their choice. Candidates can select any language from the list mentioned below: Bengali Hindi Urdu Nepali Santhali Oriya Telugu Language II In this section, aptitude possessed by aspirants in English language is tested. Here questions posed would evaluated aspirants on the basis of their (English language) communication and comprehension abilities. Mathematics & Environmental Studies Questions in this section will be on concepts, problem solving techniques and general understanding of the subjects. WBTET Syllabus for Paper-II (Mathematics & Science) Child Development and Pedagogy Concept of development and its relationship with learning Principles of the development of children Influence of Heredity & Environment Socialisation processes: Social world & children (Teacher, Parents, Peers) Concepts of child-centered and progressive education Critical perspective of the construct of Intelligence Multi-Dimensional Intelligence Language & Thought Gender as a social construct; gender roles, gender-bias and educational practice Individual differences among learners, understanding differences based on diversity of language, caste, gender, community, religion etc. Distinction between Assessment for learning and assessment of learning; School-Based Assessment, Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation: perspective and practice Formulating appropriate questions for assessing readiness levels of learners; for enhancing learning and critical thinking in the classroom and for assessing learner achievement.
