Indian Institute of Technology Madras is a public engineering institute located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and is one of India's most prestigious universities. It is recognised as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.

The Guidelines for Institute Post Doctoral Fellowship at IIT Madras is given below

Eligibility Criteria
The scheme, “Institute Post Doctoral Fellowship at IIT Madras” has been approved by the Senate in its 242 nd Meeting held on 17.7.2009.

The Application f ormat and other relevant details are hosted in our website. The advertisement for MS / Ph.D wi ll carr y the inf ormation regarding Institute PDF at IIT Madras.

Ph.D degree holders are el igible to apply within five years after completion of Ph.D. Maximum Age is 35 years (relaxable by 5 years f or women and reserved category)

APPLICATION PROCESSING & INTERVIEW

The applications received by the Academic Section will be Forwarded to Departments to shortlist the candidates to be called for interview.

The soft copy of the interview call letter (with perform for TA claim & NOC) will be sent to Department.

The Department may make any require d changes according to their requirement and send the call letter to the shortlisted candidates along with Performa f or TA Claim and No Objection Certificate, if employed.

Candidates cal led f or interview are eligible for reimbursement of II AC to and fro by shortest route. The Departments are requested to use the Proforma for List of Shortlisted Candidates sent as soft copy for sending the same to the ISC.
