Admission requirement
Formal requirements
The candidates need a Bachelor's degree in engineering or natural sciences.

Previous Knowledge
Candidates should be able to apply their knowledge of mathematics and science and engineering to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems. The following fields should have been part of your bachelor studies.

Higher mathematics and engineering mathematics, e.g. of multi-dimensional analysis, and differential equations.

Applied computer sciences and programming, e.g. of programming languages like C, C++, Java and /or Matlab

Solid mechanics, fluid mechanics or electromagnetic field, depending on the direction of studies aspired

Language requirements
CSE is a bilingual programme! Non-native English speakers need to show either that their language of instruction was English, a DAAD Language Certificate (3xB2, 1x C1, cost 20-50€), a TOEFL, a IELTS or another equivalent.

Non-native Germans need to show a DSH-1 German level certificate or equivalent.

By the time the studies start in October non-native German speackers have to provide a minimum of A1 German level certificate or equivalent.

Application Period
The CSE Programme starts only during the fall semester. Applications are accepted:
January 1st - March 15th (for non-EU residents*), or

January 1st - July 15th (for EU residents).
