The Economics Department of Bangalore University was established in 1962 in Central College as a postgraduate department of the University of Mysore. In 1964, with the establishment of Bangalore University, the then Centre of Economics came under the jurisdiction of the new University as the Department of Economics.

M.A. in Economics

Eligibility
Candidates who have secured 40% marks in the aggregate of all subjects and 50% marks in the cognate subject at the Bachelor’s degree level.
