The Government of India (GOI) nationalized PNB and 13 other major commercial banks, on 19 July 1969

The PNB bank is Nationalisation of the fourteen major banks on 19th July, 1969 was a major step for the banking industry. PNB was one amongst these. As a result, banking was given a new direction and thrust.
