The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited, is an Indian Public Sector Undertaking, engaged in the business of generation of electricity and allied activities.

The NTPC has a Farakka Super Thermal Power Plant is located at Nabarun in Murshidabad district in Indian state of West Bengal.

The power plant is one of the coal based power plants of NTPC.

Stage - I: 3x 200 MW
Stage -II: 2x 500 MW
Stage -III expansion of Farakkaa STPP is approved with the addition of one 500 MW unit.
