NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test) is a national level entrance exam organized for screening of the candidates for admissions in MCA programme offered by all NITs Key dates Notification release date 17th February 2017 Online application starts 20th February 2017 Closing Date for online Registration 20th March 2017 Last date for receipt of printout of electronically filled application form along with self-attested copy of Marks sheet of Class- 12 and Graduation certificate with payment receipt by speed post/ Registered post 31st March 2017 Admit card release 16th May 2017 Exam date 28th May 2017 Result announcement 6th June 2017 On-Line Choice filling starts 9th June 2017 On-Line Choice filling Close 14th June 2017 (Up to 5 PM) Allotment Result (1st Round) 17th June 2017 Eligibility Applicants must have scored minimum 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (for general candidates) and 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA (for SC, ST Applicants) on a 10 point scales in the qualifying examination. Applicants should hold a degree of minimum three years (B.Sc /B.Sc (Hons)/BCA/BIT) or BE / B.Tech or equivalent exam from a recognized university. Exam Pattern Duration: The exam duration was 2 hours (120 minutes). Answering Mode: Candidates are required to use only blue or black or blue ink ball point pen to mark their answers. Language: The question paper language was English only. No. of Questions: The question paper was comprises of total 120 objective type questions. Four optional answers was given for each question. Marking Scheme: Total four marks is provided for each correct response. Negative Marking: one mark is deducted for each incorrect response. Unanswered response is not be considered for negative marking.
