I want to know the Corporate Social Responsibility CSR activities of Punjab National Bank PNB so can you tell me?

CSR is an integral part of overall Punjab National Bank PNB Corporate Business strategy.

The Bank has been proactively catering to the needs and aspirations of the society and small & micro entrepreneurs and youth in particular.

Bank has taken activities for the sustainable socioeconomic development of the society which contribute significantly for upliftment and betterment of human life such as running of PNB Hockey Academy, adaptation of villages under PNB Vikas Scheme, maintaining of PNB Farmers Welfare Trust and administrating RSETIs, FLCs.

PNB’s approach to Corporate Responsibility in the community is firmly rooted in its commitment to support people below poverty line and downtrodden section of the society.

The Bank also took many initiatives to support various NGOs, societies, charitable institutions, educational institutions and organizations working for the benefit of downtrodden and weaker sections of the society, tribal orphans, underprivileged, spastics, handicapped, mentally retarded children, women in shelter homes, etc. through donations

The Bank donated a sum of Rs.10 lac for construction of 20 dwelling units in the flood-affected area of Balasore District (Orissa).

The Bank also participated in setting up a Rural Development and Self Employment Training Institute (RUDSETI) in Solan Distt. (HP). The objective is to train and impart short duration training to PMRY applicants, SHGs and beneficiaries of other Govt. Sponsored Schemes and equip the trainees so as to be self-supporting.

In addition, the Bank contributed a sum of Rs.50 lac to Madras School of Economics for imparting higher education and conducting research in the area of economics including its various sub-disciplines.
