AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test and is also referred to as the Indian Air Force Exam. AFCAT is a national level competitive exam conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) to select officers for all its branches, except for the medical and dental branches. This examination is conducted every year for the recruitment of these branches: Branches of AFCAT ## Flying Branch ## Technical Branch ## Ground Duty Branch. Examination Pattern The AFCAT will be of two hours duration and will contain multiple choice questions on verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, general awareness and military aptitude. Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) (applicable only for candidates applying for technical branch) - EKT would be for 45 minutes and conducted immediately after AFCAT.
