Lucknow University, Lucknow offers Degree Programme in Elementary Teacher Education (B. El. ED) of duration four-year.

B.El.Ed Program

The Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed.) is a four- year Professional Degree Program of Teacher Education offered after Senior Secondary. The Programme is in a regular full time mode

It aims to prepare teachers for the elementary stage of education for Classes I to VIII

Duration – 4 years

Eligibility-

Candidates shall be a pass in the 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination or any other exam recognized as equivalent thereto with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks

Reservation & Relaxation of marks for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per rules of the central Govt./State Govt. whichever is applicable.

University reserves the right to cancel any admission at any stage

In case of any matter relating to the B.El.Ed Admissions, the decision of the Vice-Chancellor/Admission Committee, Lucknow University shall be final and binding

All the legal matters pertaining to the B.El.Ed Admissions shall be subject to the Lucknow Jurisdiction only

Reservation Policy

Scheduled Caste – 21%

Scheduled Tribe – 2%

Other Backward Classes of U.P – 27%

The SC/ST & OBC candidates originally belonging to Uttar Pradesh will be given the benefit of reservation. SC/ST & OBC candidates of other states will be treated as general

Physically Handicapped/Disabled – 3%

Son/Daughter/Grand Son/Granddaughter of Freedom Fighters from U.P. – 2%

Admission Process-

Candidates shall have to qualify in the prescribed Centralized Entrance Test (CET), specially designed to assess the candidate’s potential or any other selection process as per the policy of Lucknow University

Candidate shall be admitted on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam conducted for this purpose

Entrance Test will comprise of 100 objective type questions to be answered in 90 minutes. The questions will be from –

a) Language Ability (Hindi and English)

b) General Awareness

c) Logical Reasoning

d) Mental Ability

Application Fee

General and OBC Rs. 1000/- (With late fee Rs. 1500/-)

SC and ST Rs. 500/- (With late fee Rs. 1000/-)
