As you Asking for the Information About the Physical Standards Test for the CPO SI Post the Information is given below


Physical Standards Test: (Female Candidates are eligible for posts earmarked for them only)


(i) All candidates applying for the recruitment and prima-facie eligible will be called to
appear in Physical Standards Test and Physical Efficiency Test at places finalized by
the Commission in consultation with the CPOs.

Detailed scrutiny of their eligibility will not be undertaken by the Commission before PET/ PST. Therefore, it will be the
responsibility of the candidate to verify their eligibility as prescribed in this notice before appearing for PST/ PET.

(ii) Physical standards laid down for the post of Constable are –
a) Height: For Males : 170 cms.
b) Chest:

For Females
For males only – Unexpanded: 157 cms.
: 80 cms.
Expanded : Min expansion : 5 cms

c) Weight : For males and Females : Proportionate to height and age as
per medical standards


Those qualifying the height test will be subjected to race of 5 Kms for male
and 1.6 KMs for female to be completed within 24 minutes and 8.30 minutes
respectively.


Those qualifying in the 5 / 1.6 Kms race will be subjected to biometric methods to eliminate the possibility of impersonation by the candidates.


Testimonials and certificates will be checked at the option of the Commission and
only eligible candidates will go to the next round. Candidates found eligible after screening of certificates will be screened first for height and weight measurements.

II. Phy sical Efficiency Test
Candidates who have been screened as at I (Physical Standards Test) above
will be required to undergo PET whi ch will consist of the f ollowing –
Male Candidates :
(a) Long Jump : 11 feet (Three chances to be given )
(b) High Jump : 3 1/2 feet (Three chances to be gi ven )

Female Candidates:
(a) Long Jump : 9 feet (Three chances to be given )
(b) High Jump : 3 feet (Three chances to be given )


Parameters to conduct PET of candidates in Ladakh Region are as under:
Male Candidates :
i) 1 Mile race to be completed in 6:30 minutes.
ii) 11 Feet long jump (3 chances to be given).
iii) 3 ½ Feet high jump (3 chances to be given).


Female Candidates :
i) 800 Meter race to be completed in 4 minutes
ii) 09 Feet long jump (3 chances to be given)
iii) 03 Feet high jump (3 chances to be given)

Can you tell me in detail about the PET (Physical Endurance Test) conducted for CPO SI (Central Police Organisation Sub Inspector) by SSC (Staff Selection Commission)?

The Staff Selection Commission organizes Central Police Organisation or CPO exams every year for the post of SI (Sub Inspector) in Delhi Police, SI (Sub Inspector) in CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces), & ASI (Assistant Sub Inspector) in CISF (Central Industrial Security Force).

Eligibility for SSC CPO Physical Endurance Test

Candidate Height Chest

Physical Endurance Test (PET)/ PST & Medical Test for SSC CPO
Male Candidates
• 100 meters race in 16 seconds
• 1.6 Km race in 6.5 minutes
• Long Jump – 3.65 meters in 5 chances
• High Jump – 1.2 meters in 3 chances
• Short put 16 LBS – 4.5 meters in 3 chances

Female Candidates
• 100 meters race in 18 seconds
• 800 meters race in 4 minutes
• Long Jump – 2.7 metres or 9 feet in 5 chances
• High Jump – 0.9 metres or 3 feet in 3 chances

Medical Test for SSC CPO

Once one qualifies the PET one will be medically examined by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any Medical Officer/Assistant Surgeon (Grade I).

If one is found to be unfit, will be informed and will be given a chance to question the result make an appeal before Review Medical Board within 15 days.

If applied for the posts of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector one has to undergo 7 events failing which one will not retain in the force:
• Jumping over the Vertical Board
• Holding the rope on jumping from the Board
• Tarzan Swing
• Parallel Rope
• Monkey Crawl
• Vertical Rope

It is noticed that during medical examination, one having ‘tattoos’ in various parts of their body are appearing for medical examination. In this regard, Ministry of Home Affairs issued the following guidelines:-
(a) Content: Tattoos depicting religious symbol or figures and the name, as followed in Indian Army are to be permitted.
(b) Location: Tattoos marked on traditional sites of the body like inner aspect of forearm but only left forearm, being non saluting limb or dorsum of the hands are to be allowed.
(c) Size: Size must be less than ¼ of the particular part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.
