State Bank of India SBI invites Applications for recruitment of Probationary Officers (POs) post.

Post Name - Probationary Officer

Total No. of Vacancies: 2313

Category Wise Vacancy

i. Scheduled Cast (SC): 347 (three hundred forty seven)
ii. Scheduled Tribe (ST): 350 (three hundred fifty only)
iii. Other Backward Classes (OBC): 606 (six hundred six)
iv. General Cast: 1010 (one hundred ten)

SBI PO Eligibility Criteria

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification

Those who are in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply

Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply.

Age Limit

Not below 21 years and not above 30 years

Upper age relaxation 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PWD candidates.

SBI PO Selection Procedure

Phase-I (Preliminary Exam)

Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online.

This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections as follows.

1. English Language - 30 no. of questions and 30 marks
2. Quantitative Aptitude - 35 no. of questions and 35 marks
3. Reasoning Ability - 35 no. of questions and 35 marks

Composite Time of 01 Hour

Phase-II (Main Exam)

Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online.

Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer.

Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered

a) Objective Test: The Objective Test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 sections for total 200 marks; the Objective Test will have separate timing for every section

i. Reasoning & Computer Aptitude 45 no. of questions; 60 marks and 60 minutes

ii. Data Analysis & Interpretation 35 no. of questions; 60 marks and 45 minutes

iii. General/Economy/ Banking Awareness 40 no. of questions; 40 marks and 35 minutes

iv. English Language 35 no. of questions; 40 marks and 40 minutes

Total - 155 no. of questions; 200 marks and 3 hours

b) Descriptive Test:

The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). Candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank

Phase-III (Group Discussion (20 Marks) and Interview (30 marks)

Emoluments

Presently, the starting basic pay is Rs.27620/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of Rs.23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I
