This fellowship program is jointly instituted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) Bangalore and the Centre for International Co-operation in Science(CICS), Chennai to encourage mobility of scientists from developing countries. CICS (formerly CCSTDS) is a Registered Society, functioning under the patronage of President, Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi and Chairman, Governing Council, CICS. The Centre is mandated to promote S & T co-operation for the mutual benefit of the scientists of developing countries from Asia, Africa, Latin America and Arab regions Study Subject(s): Fellowships are awarded in all major disciplines of science and technology including engineering and medical sciences at the Indian Centres of Excellence. Scholarship Award: The Fellowship Applications will be scrutinized during November/December every year by a selection committee. Eligibility: Applicant must be a scientist, teacher or a research scholar affiliated with a scientific or academic institution in a developing country in Asia (other than India), Africa, Latin America and the Arab region. Applicant (other than Indian) possessing Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Science or equivalent degree in Engineering/ Medicine and allied disciplines, below 45 years of age affiliated to a scientific or academic institution in a developing country (Other than India). Scholarship Application Deadline: The last date for receipt of the applications is October 31, every year.
