The Government College of Technology, Coimbatore generally known as the Arthur Hope College of Technology, was commenced in July 1945. The GCT instrumentation and Control Engineering branch in the U.G. Programme was commenced during 1984 – 85. The Government College of Technology, Coimbatore (GCT) is an independent state funded engineering college situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. GCT’s Placement and Training Cell pioneers the campus recruitment season for final year students immediately after the 6th semester examinations. Government College of Technology all undergraduate and postgraduate courses have been associated to Anna University. The college was as well provided the offices and portions of the workshop and hostel of the National Electric Works for its facilities.
