With the communization of the game, the need to have a central administer body became high. The main aim of the constitution is to promote, advocate and develop the game of hockey in India and holds a number of inter-member tourneys and National Championship Tournaments. With no hockey affairs to manage, the only task for the five- man staff is to do background work for the on-going court case among KPS Gill- guided IHF and the Indian Olympian affiliation (IOA).
