Introduction
Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad was founded in the year 1926. ISM Dhanbad is one of the premier engineering institutions of India. The beginning of ISM Dhanbad can be drawn to 1901 when the Indian Mines Act came into place. A demand was sensed to launch a government college of Mining Engineering at some worthy place in India on the perception of the Royal School of Mines.
The institute was laid down as a example of the renowned Royal School of Mines. The institute takes admission through the joint entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology.
Admission Procedure:
The admission to this institute is purely by IIT-JEE. A student needs to get a merit place in this test to be able to study in this college.
