Jadavpur University is in Kolkata, a large and teeming Indian metropolis, with a vibrant cultural tradition. It stands on Raja S. C. Mallik Road in the southern parts of the city.
Jadavpur University is For the most part a unitary university with faculties in Engineering, Science and Arts. However, few Developed or designed for a special activity or function institutes are being joined in close association to it such as jadavpur Vidyapith College of Education, J. D. Birla Institute.
