The University of Jammu was launched in 1969 through an Act of Jammu & Kashmir Act 1969. The University has been allowed four star status through National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) of India.University of Jammu is the first in India to be imparted ISO-9001 certification. Several undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes are provided by the University.
