Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. 2009
The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are institutions of national importance launched by an Act of Parliament. The IITs are well recognized, the world over, for ability education in engineering and science, and research in discipline areas. From the Academic Session 2004 – 2005, Indian Institutes of Technology have commenced performing a Joint Admission test for M.Sc. (JAM) for admission to M.Sc. and other post-B.Sc. programs at the IITs. The main goal of JAM is to render admissions to various M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual degree and other post-B.Sc. programs based on the execution in a single test and consolidate ‘Science’ as a career alternative for bright students from across the country. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur handles the Joint Admission Test for M Sc (JAM). It is conducted for admission into the M Sc, M Sc PhD Dual Degree and other Post B Sc programs extended at the IITs across India.
